Shailene Woodley may be hell-bent on changing the world through activism. But her passion for the environment is not the most exciting thing about her. In 2014, Woodley starred as a cancer patient in “The Fault in Our Stars.” And that same year, she appeared in the first movie in the “Divergent” series.
But while both productions earned her an international reputation, they weren’t her first introduction to the big screen. Woodley got her first chance at acting in 1999 when she played a minor role in “Replacing Dad.” So by 2008, when she starred in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” she’d acquired an audience.
