Footwear can get in the way of a professional doing their job. A classic example is this woman in a black outfit who appears to be exiting the runway. Her heels became slippery and would have been the cause of a tragic fall. We hope she did not injure herself because there have been records of disturbing injuries caused by catwalkers’ footwear.
The occurrence was witnessed during the 2011 Bernard Chandran show at Old Sorting Office in England. The collection mostly paraded fluid lines in sheer and soft fabrics. In a backstage stage chat with My Fashion Life, Chandran stated that he gathers inspiration for his work when he travels.
