During the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week held in Madrid, this woman’s walk down the catwalk brought her to her knees. She tripped while presenting a Miguel Palacio ensemble, but from the looks of it, the slanted runway set her up for a fall off the bat. Beyond just pushing the limits regarding design, some runway shows have taken place in the most unusual places.
In 2007, Pierre Cardin took its showcase to the Whistling Sand Mountain in China’s Gansu province. The same year, Karl Lagerfeld held their presentation for Fendi at The Great Wall of China. For his cycling-influenced 2011 spring/summer collection, Thom Browne showcased his collection at Milan’s Vigorelli Velodrome.
