Bandar bin Sultan, the previous Saudi Arabian diplomat to the United States and King Abdullah’s special representative, acquired the 95-acre Hala Ranch just north of Aspen, Colorado, in 1991 and gave it its current name. The Rustic-style house by Hagman Yaw Architects has a sewage treatment facility and a garage with petrol pumps. Just north of Aspen’s center, the property is among the most luxurious single-family home in the United States.
About a thousand people called a certain Mr. Saslove when the house first went up for sale in 2006, asking to take a tour. However, after consulting with the prince’s attorneys, he has only accepted eleven of these requests.
