The luxury of the Gold Coast is personified by Hempstead House. Castle Gould, Falaise, and Mille Fleur are the other three houses that make up the Guggenheim Property. The family used the Tudor-style castle as their summer retreat, and it became the site of lavish parties, exhibits, and meetings attended by the influential elite back in the day.
Constructed in 1912 to a concept by architects Hunt & Hunt, the structure is clad in stone and Indiana limestone. It has a grand entryway that is 60 feet high and 40 guest rooms. More than 1.5 acres may be found between the Hempstead House’s ground and upper levels.
