Dwayne Johnson was a professional wrestler who was a key figure during the WWE’s most prosperous period before becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. He won multiple titles and headlined several major pay-per-view events. But that isn’t his whole sporting background.
Johnson’s sports career began in college when he competed as a defensive lineman for the University of Miami. He felt he might advance his football career by joining the Calgary Stampeders. That did not pan out, but it did pave the way for his next move into the WWE. He’s starred in blockbuster movies and shows, including 2022’s “DC League of Super-Pets.”
