Forest Whitaker – Football
Forest Whitaker is well-known for his strong roles in films such as “Good Morning, Vietnam” and “The Last King of Scotland.” In fact, he won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ugandan tyrant Idi Amin in the latter. However, prior to the Oscars and smash hit movies, he was just a young man trying to earn an education.
Whitaker accomplished this by receiving a football scholarship to California State Polytechnic University. Because of a problematic back injury, he changed his major to music, and the sequence of events continued once he transferred to the theater. Drama evolved to acting, which landed him a role in the 2022 show “Extrapolations.”
