Mark Harmon is well-known for serving as the lead man for nearly the entire run of “NCIS.” However, before becoming a big-time actor, he was an outstanding American football player. That was particularly the case during his time as the quarterback for the famous UCLA Bruins.
Harmon was a tour-de-force on the field. He was named an NJCAA All-American in 1971 and received the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Award in 1973 for his skills. Harmon’s interest in the game made him a Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame inductee in 2010, and it’s surprising that he ended up being an actor as he had such a bright future in sports.
