Bette Midler is a great actress and equally genius singer, as she has sold 30 million records worldwide by releasing 14 studio albums singing as a solo artist. “The Divine Miss M,” her debut album, was released in 1972, while she made her film debut in 1979 with “The Rose.”
Her very first lead role in a Broadway musical was in a revival of “Hello, Dolly!” and the performance brought her a Tony award. In 2013, she made a comeback on Broadway after 30 years and played in “Sue Mengers.” Midler has been happily married to artist Martin von Haselberg since December 16, 1984.
