Johnny Depp – A Nightmare on Elm Street – 1984
At the mention of Johnny Depp’s name, our minds often recall his ‘Jack Sparrow’ character in the wildly successful “Pirate of the Caribbean” film series. But he’s also appeared in “Finding Neverland,” “Corpse Bride,” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Of course, very few people know that Depp was a musician first, and at 17, he joined a band called “The Kids.”
Later on, his friendship with Nicholas Cage largely influenced his decision to pursue acting as a career. And his first role came in 1984 when he played the boyfriend of the main character in “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” The rest, as they say, is history.
