Kevin Bacon – National Lampoon’s Animal House – 1978

Kevin Bacon has one of those names that inspire a full-on snack session. But looking at his work reveals that he is an actor we should take seriously. First, he left home at 17 to pursue a career in theater, which is something only an incredibly passionate individual would do.

Then he made his debut in the 1978 fraternity comedy, “National Lampoon’s Animal House.” He played Chip Diller, an Omega pledge, and a minor antagonist. But no one laughed when he adopted darker personas for his roles in “Sleepers” and “Woodsman.” So, no one was shocked when he got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003.
