But Cruise didn’t begin his career playing the badass Ethan Hunt who somehow manages to escape the most life-threatening situations without a hair out of place. Instead, his journey to Hollywood fame began at 18 when he moved to New York to pursue an acting career. And thanks to that move, he made his debut in the 1981 film “Endless Love.”
