Although his career began in the ’60s, he only gained global fame after starring as Han Solo in the widely acclaimed “Star Wars” franchise, which started late in the ’70s. In fact, he only did small parts and supporting roles at the start of his career and even took up carpentry as a backup career when things weren’t going so well.
