One of the most iconic actors of the ’80s is Mel Gibson, known famously for his breakout role in the post-apocalyptic action series “Mad Max.” In addition to acting, he has seen great success as a film producer and director. He won his first Golden Globe and Academy Award as a director in the 1995 film “Braveheart.”
Gibson started his journey to being an actor by first attending the National Institute of Dramatic Art after moving to Australia with his parents. When he graduated, he started working on the famous “Mad Max.” But while doing so, he still continued his old job as a stage actor.
