Alcohol might be cheaper, but it is also more dangerous, leading to liver failure after excessive long-term consumption. This advertisement is by Lee’s Discount Liquor, the largest chain of alcohol retailers in Las Vegas. Started by Hae Un Lee in 1981, by 2017, it had extended to 21 locations.
The two individuals in the advertisement are Hae Un Lee and his son Kenny Lee. Most of their advertising is tongue-in-cheek, and the father-son duo often features in them. This advertisement, from the 2013 campaign, was met with a Change.org petition, with many saying it encouraged addicts to drink more and was thus irresponsible.
