The planking trend—where individuals lay on surfaces in public—began as a social media trend that peaked in 2011. Thankfully, by 2012 the fad had started to end. It had become a serious violation of rules and etiquette in many places and had led to the suspension of seven staff members from the hospital in New England in 2009.

That didn’t stop Dwight Howard from planking with 100 fans in China for an Adidas commercial, nor this young man in a restaurant. The worker there seems amused, capturing the event with his phone. Instead, he should’ve asked this guy to leave the premises for violating safety and health guidelines.
