The Australian singer and songwriter Nick Cave and English vocalist PJ Harvey were in a short-lived relationship in the ’90s. Even though it lasted only a year, Cave was so much influenced by it that his band’s following album, “The Boatman’s Call,” was all about Harvey. It included songs such as “West Country Girl” and “Into My Arms.”
Speaking about the relationship, Cave has said multiple times that even though the fault lay in him, he was heartbroken and couldn’t let the memories past him. He even wrote an emotional note to Harvey, which became viral after household internet became common.
