Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson first met through their mutual manager. Both of them being singers in the American industry, they soon worked on Simpson’s first album in 2002. Lachey proposed to her on a luxury yacht in Hawaii that he had particularly chartered for the occasion. Their marriage followed in the same year.
The singing duo was in a very public relationship, which led to much news and commotion once they broke their marriage in 2005. Simpson’s memoir titled “Open Book,” as well as a reality TV series by Lachey and his then-wife Vanessa titled “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.”
