Stephen Edward Duren, also known as Blackie Lawless, is an American artist and lead singer for the rock band, W.A.S.P. Formed in the early 80s, with Lawless as its front man, the band released several albums, with the first two, “W.A.S.P” and “The Last Command,” certified gold.
The 1984 debut album “W.A.S.P” housed hit songs like “I Wanna Be Somebody,” and “L.O.V.E. Machine.” The band also produced more albums, including “Golgotha,” released in 2015. Lawless’ penned track “I Wanna Be Somebody” was featured in the third season of “Cobra Kai”, which aired in January 2021
