There are many talented singers and bands in the rock music scene. The female glam band Vixen was one of those talented bands and had Gardner as the lead vocalist. She learned to play the piano and guitar as a child and joined the band in 1983. Aside from music, Gardner worked at a golf course pro shop and was later a dental hygienist.
She officially retired from the Vixens in 2019 to focus on her solo career and family, releasing her second solo album, “Your Place in the Sun.” The solo trip quickly became a trip for two with her husband, Justine James, and the duo released “Synergy” in 2020.
