The Flushing Tool

Flushing loos are a must-have in most homes and public places, and many people in the world take it so casually that we do not think enough of its history and how grateful we should be. In case you are still wondering, the credit for inventing the flush toilet belongs to Sir John Harrington, a godson of Elizabeth I.

During the 1590s, deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid were common because waste was not properly flushed away. It was at that time that Harrington invented a water closet with a raised cistern. To wrap it all is a small downpipe that allows water to cross and powerfully flush any waste.
