Greg Maddux – $70 Million

Just nearly $160 million was Greg Maddux’s career pay alone. In the United States, he and his sibling Mike put all their energies into baseball. He was a standout player in high school, but he wasn’t much recruited because of his small stature. However, he entered the 1984 draft after deciding to become eligible and was picked up by the Chicago Cubs.

He debuted in Major League Baseball in 1986. After a difficult start in his first full season as a Major League pitcher, he found his groove the following year. He then went on to set a record for most consecutive winning seasons in the MLB with seventeen.
