The Samson Luggage Sculpture

We know what you’re thinking: the guys who work at the Sacramento International Airport luggage control deserve a raise right now! However, these impressive piles of luggage are just an art installation sitting at the airport’s terminal A. Known as the Samson Luggage Sculpture, this work of art was made using piles of 700 pieces of luggage.

According to Atlas Obscura, the bags used in the artwork were carefully selected to represent the history of air travel. The bags in the bottom date back to the early 20th century, when commercial air flights first became available. Brian Goggin is the artist behind the impressive sculpture.
