Reid Hall – Undisclosed

During Charles W. Reid’s Ph.D. administration in 1896, Normal Hall was renamed Reid Hall. After the Normal Department was disbanded in 1910, Normal Hall was repurposed as a residence for female students. As the institution’s president around the turn of the century, Reid Hall was christened in his honor in 1922. In 1923, the previous name was changed to “President Reid’s Honorable Organization.”
It was at Reid Hall that the university’s first female undergraduates found a place to call home. As of 2022, the Reid underground is equipped with a bar, pool table, and kitchen. It underwent major renovations to its present configuration in 1929.
