Maybe we misunderstood what “Sk8r Boi” meant. What if Avril Lavigne was singing about an ice skater rather than a skateboarder? Or, at the very least, a hockey player. In any case, we know she enjoys playing ice hockey, and if she were to be smitten by a skater, it would likely be one on ice skates.
You never know, perhaps even inline skates, which she has stated she brings with her on tour so she can play street hockey when the mood strikes. Lavigne is still working in the music industry, and in 2022 she released a track called “Love It When You Hate Me.”
