She may not be a royal family member by birth, but Kate Middleton nonetheless enjoyed sports like a true royal. She loved playing field hockey and had done so for the better part of her life. It’s a highly demanding sport, which helps explain why she’s so physically fit.
Middleton played at the university level as well, and her abilities helped her make the Olympic squad for England. She visited England’s team for a practice session as they prepared for the 2012 London Olympics and displayed some pretty spectacular maneuvers. It’s too bad she wasn’t a candidate up for selection too.
