One of Jamie Foxx’s most notable performances was as quarterback Willie Beaman in “Any Given Sunday,” an epic football movie. He did, however, actually play basketball as a youth in high school, and he had ambitions for it too.
Foxx played as a quarterback and hoped to one day play for the Dallas Cowboys. He also became the first player in his high school’s history to pass for more than 1,000 yards. But once the comedy bug got him, the Oscar and Grammy award winner let all those ambitions vanish. The ”Dreamgirls” star is famous for playing iconic roles like Ray Charles in “Ray” and hit songs including “Blame It.”
