Joel Grey, the son of actor Mickey Katz, started his career at the tender age of ten. In the ’40s, he used to perform in children’s theatrical programs. His television works from the early ’60s include “Lawman” and “Broncho.” Grey landed a Tony award for his performance in the Broadway musical “Cabaret” in 1966. His other Broadway works include “Half a Sixpence,” “Chicago,” and “The Grand Tour.”

His wife was Jo Wilder, and they had two children together; however, they divorced in 1982. He is interested in photography, and an exhibition of his photographs was held in New York in April 2011.
