Jessie Mueller – Carousel
American actress and singer Jessie Mueller won two Joseph Jefferson Awards in 2008 and 2011 for her roles in “Carousel” and “She Loves Me.” Her performance as Carole King in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” brought her a Tony Award in 2014.
After graduation, she started acting for Chicago Shakespeare Theater and moved to England to star at the Swan Theatre’s “Henry IV.” She was lucky to have an excellent start on Broadway. She debuted in a revised revival of “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever,” a role originated by Barbara Harris. She has a keen interest in imparting acting education to the youth.
