Before landing the breakthrough role of Fred Fenster in “The Usual Suspects,” Benicio Del Toro played minor roles in several television shows like “Miami Vice” and “Drug Wars: The Camarena Story.” And in those flicks, he mostly appeared as a thug or dealer.

But since his career took off, he’s presented us with some diversity in his performances. In “The Things We Lost in the Fire,” he played a struggling addict.
