Edward Norton – Primal Fear – 1996

Edward Norton was only 25 when he got cast in the film adaptation of William Diehl’s 1993 novel, “Primal Fear.” And out of two thousand prospects, he was chosen to play the part of Aaron Stampler, an altar boy charged with the murder of a Roman Catholic archbishop.

For a newcomer, Norton knocked the performance right out of the park. And for his efforts, he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Fast forward to 2019 when Norton starred in “Motherless Brooklyn,” and he’d already added over thirty other awards to his first. And as you’d expect, his performance in that crime drama was no less compelling.
