Davis had always been after a career as an actress and studied Drama in Boston. She moved to New York afterward and landed a modeling job with Victoria’s Secret. It wasn’t smooth sailing all the way; she first worked as a clerk and waitress when she arrived in New York. Everything paid off when she was cast in the 1982 debut film “Tootsie.”
