It was sad news for many fans when Michael J. Fox retired from acting in 2020. Since the ’70s, he has been a regular on our screens and gained popularity for his role as Alex P. Keaton on the ’80s NBC sitcom “Family Ties.” Born in Canada, Fox originally got his first acting gig at 15, starring in the Canadian TV series “Leo and Me.”
He eventually became a famous movie star playing Marty McFly, the lead character in the “Back to the Future” franchise, between 1985 and 1990. Fox continued to headline many films throughout the ’80s and ’90s, and he bagged several awards along the way.
