Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas

The famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada” sign has become a landmark since it went up in 1959. Pop culture has helped cement its place as a great photo-op destination, and now merchandise and souvenirs of the signs are sold to tourists.

Designed by Betty Willis, this sign stands at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Contrary to popular belief, this sign isn’t actually in Vegas; it’s 4 miles out of the actual city limits. Due to the sign’s notoriety, many similar ones have been erected across Vegas in locations like Las Vegas Boulevard and 4th Street, Boulder Highway, and one of the SlotZilla Zipline attraction’s towers.
