Best known as the vocalist and bassist of the punk band S** Pistols, Sid Vicious had a very popular career in the late ’70s. However, another aspect of his life that was probably as popular as his music was his relationship with Nancy Spungen. The duo inspired a bunch load of merchandise and a documentary film.
After Vicious’ band was dismembered, he, along with Spungen, went to live in Hotel Chelsea in London and stayed there for about two months. The couple delved into substance abuse which finally led to the death of Spungen. The documentary feature based on their life was released in 1979.
