M.I.A. is a famous singer of Asian descent, probably the first to earn an Oscar and a Grammy nomination in the same year. She met Diplo, a popular American DJ, in 2003 and started dating him. They were romantically involved with each other for half a decade before they decided to part ways.
Even though their separation was not too smooth and M.I.A. said that Diplo had a controlling nature, the two had managed to set their past behind them and move forth. The latter even shared a picture of both of them together on his Instagram with the caption “best friends.”
