The Wonders Of Penicillin

In 1928, Dr. Alexander Fleming returned from a holiday and found a mold growing on a Petri dish of Staphylococcus bacteria. He observed that the mold was restricting the growth of bacteria, and it was the beginning of his discovery of antibiotics, which is an essential tool in keeping off infection.
Although Fleming felt he did a bright idea, his invention was ignored initially. It was not until World War II that medical teams used the drug for medical use and mass-produced it. As penicillin continues to refine its identity, it has been mostly used in treating the dental infection, skin diseases, and urinary tract illnesses.
