After being chosen by the Kansas City Royals in 1995, he spent the next four years developing into a regular player. He was named the AL’s rookie of the year and quickly moved up to the third spot in the lineup.
Beltran has won three Gold Gloves, two Silver Sluggers, and been named to the All-Star team eight times. Across his baseball career, he has banked over $160 million. During the 2009–2010 season, he made $19.4 million from the New York Mets, which was his biggest pay as of 2022.
