After being selected first by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2007 MLB Draft, David Price didn’t make his professional debut until 2008. He has been in the All-Star Game five times and in 2012 he led the American Conference in wins and was named the league’s Cy Young Award winner. In the 2006 World University Championship, he ended up winning gold with the USA national team.

He helped the Rays win the World Series for the first time in franchise history in 2008. In 2007, he agreed to a six-year contract for $11.25 million, and in 2015, he inked a record-breaking $19.75 million contract for one year.
