The Townsend House is the only officially recognized and registered guesthouse in Birr by Fáilte Ireland. Situated in the center point of this old town, this charming Georgian mansion offers luxurious accommodation. Completion of the six-story structure, including the basement and a retail area on the ground level. There are also offices on the lower four stories, apartments on the five, and a projected luxury duplex floor on the sixth story.
Townsend House has a fascia of modern sandstone with dark bronze colonnades set at strategic locations to demarcate the various functions inside the structure. Furthermore, it’s angled to match the curving line of the roadway.
