Ralston Hall, a Victorian mansion constructed in 1868, is a beautiful example of both heritage and architecture. The historic, cream-colored home at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California, has been the campus’s crowning beauty for more than 90 years. Not only is it a California Cultural Monument, but it is also included on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Mr. Ralston bought his house, which he named Belmont, in the untamed and magnificent Canada del Diablo, twenty miles south of San Francisco, in 1864. He based his massive mansion, which had more than eighty rooms, on a little residence constructed by Count Leonetto Cipriani in the l850s.
