The move proved advantageous, as he gained his first crack at the sports entertainment program “Battle Dome,” and he later landed film parts in “Friday After Next” and “Blended.” Crews, who hosts “America’s Got Talent,” rose to prominence in “Everybody Hates Chris,” and he later portrayed Terry Jeffords on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
