Nathan Lane entered the spotlight when he appeared in the 1982 Broadway revival of Noel Coward’s “Present Laughter,” with George C. Scott as his co-star and director. In 1989, he was already friends with acclaimed American playwright Terrence McNally; they met while working on “The Lisbon Traviata.”
He has played various roles and appeared on 24 Broadway productions, including “Guys and Dolls” and ” Laughter on the 23rd Floor.”
