Jack White and Meg White are best known as the musical duo The White Stripes. Their band instantly became an underground favorite in Detroit after their formation in 1997. While Jack wrote songs and played the guitar, piano, or mandolin, his partner would do the drums and the vocals.
Even though they were just two, they were louder than most rock bands around, being nominated for a range of awards and winning many, including six Grammys. The couple was only married for about four years between 1996 and 2000, but they continued to make music until 2011 for The White Stripes.
